Snowless Surprise: February Fun Eau Claire Trolley Tour

Here we are in a Wisconsin winter with no snow! Might as well take this highly rare opportunity for some seasonal fun and enjoy a historic winter trolley ride, with forecasts mostly sunny and near 50 degrees!

Enjoy this charming experience taking you on a unique trolley journey to and through some of Eau Claire’s most beautiful, interesting, and iconic neighborhoods, districts, and historic sites. See and hear stories of turn-of-the-century industrial factories and lumber barons, traverse iconic rail bridges over the rushing waters of the Eau Claire and Chippewa Rivers, and get a glimpse of unique community features only viewable through the trees when the leaves are down.

Each tour includes two opportunities to step off the trolley and enjoy beautiful river vistas from historic bridges, with the trolley picking you up on the other side (or just stay on board!). What better way to bask in a warm winter? The Snowless February Fun edition of our Signature Tour lasts approximately 85 minutes. The trolley is heated as needed, but you’ll want to wear a coat for a seasonal walk across the footbridges. The route and features vary slightly from the summer Signature Tour.

The two short walks off the trolley are on flat paved trails and wood-floor bridges that are safe for all ages. Expect to be off the trolley and walking no more than 5-10 minutes at each one. At its length, and its depth of information, this tour is not recommended for children under seven years old.
