Family Trolley Express

Our Family Trolley Express is similar in spirit to our Signature Eau Claire Tour, just a bit shorter and more geared for kids 12 and under! Riders will hear stories about Eau Claire’s lumberjacks and logging history as they ride through Carson Park, hear about the newly developing Cannery Park, pass through a hidden trail tunnel deep in the urban woods, see and hear about colorful murals and sculptures, play a bit of “I Spy” about town, and more! There’s even a chance to step off the trolley to walk the hidden “S-bridge” with incredible views of the Eau Claire River and Banbury Place.

The Family Trolley Express is a great way to open children to our community’s delightful history and its bright future. In addition to all the sights and sounds, each child has an opportunity to take home a trolley coloring page and a coupon for a FREE train ride at the Chippewa Valley Railroad in Carson Park!

This tour lasts approximately 40-45 minutes. The tour is NOT recommended for children younger than 2-years-old or those requiring rear-facing car seats. As with most bus-style transportation, the trolley is not equipped with seat belts. Depending on weather, be prepared for the trolley to be set up enclosed with sliding windows, or open-air with brass railings (and roll down curtains in case of rain). Appropriate clothing layers for heat/humidity, or cool breezes, is a good idea.
