The audio for our tours comes both from recorded music and from a microphone worn by the driver or tour guide. It comes through eight speakers in the ceiling of the trolley. For any hearing impaired guests, we can provide a written copy of key facts and stories to read.
Entering the trolley requires three steps up from the ground to the vehicle floor, meaning this particular model is not wheelchair accessible. Due to a variety of complicating factors, including the hill outside The Local Store from which the trolley departs, as well as highly cost-prohibitive upgrades, we are currently unable to accommodate wheelchairs. If the service is deemed successful, we hope to add to our fleet in the future with an accessibility plan and model.
