First, we’ll stop at Helix Wine, Craft Bar & Cafe in Altoona’s River Prairie development. Helix features a meticulously curated bar that spans nearly 400 spirits, regional beers, and a wine collection where every bottle is a truly great one. For our trolley stop, you’ll be welcomed with two house-curated 3-ounce pours — one red and one white — alongside charcuterie, caprese, and artisan cheese. Gluten-free options are available, and a menu will be on hand if you’d like to order more. (Wine selections for this stop are pre-set, and substitutions are not available.)
Our most immersive stop will be next, at Eau Claire’s own artisan winery and distillery, Infinity Beverages. Infinity’s award-winning signature wine collection showcases fruit-forward, artisan wines crafted from a variety of unexpected sources. At this stop you’ll experience a behind-the-scenes guided winery tour with tastings throughout. You’ll get an up-close look at the craft behind the bottle, from fermentation to finish. And if time allows, settle into the lounge to linger over your favorite pour in style.
For our trolley’s final stop we’ll visit The Lakely, inside The Oxbow Hotel downtown. This spot is a Midwestern hub of local culture, live music, and locally sourced dishes and bites. Evenings regularly feature live jazz and touring performers on their signature stage, making for the perfect atmosphere to close out the night. Here, you’ll get a specially curated small version of their beloved “Big Cheese” board alongside two distinct wine samples: a rich Domaine de la Solitude Red Blend from France and a bright, crisp Infamous Goose Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available. (Wine selections at this stop are pre-set, and substitutions are not available.)
- This tour is 21+ only (attendees will be carded), and lasts about three hours.
- Tickets include all curated wine pours and food pairings at each stop.
- Additional menu items may be available at select locations for individual purchase.
- All alcoholic samples or products offered as a part of this tour are provided to those 21+ for free by each establishment.
- Depending on weather, be prepared for the trolley to be set up enclosed with sliding windows, or open-air with brass railings (and roll down curtains in case of rain). Appropriate clothing layers for heat/humidity or cool breezes is a good idea.
